Collection: Jute Mats
Jute is the fibre of the giant Corchorus plant of Southern Asia. The fibres come from the plant’s bark tissue not its leaves, hence are softer. The plants grow quickly, relying mainly on rainfall rather than water-consuming irrigation systems and don’t require the addition of harmful pesticides. Jute fibres naturally exhibit anti-static, insulating and moisture-regulating properties.
This soft fibre lends itself to wonderful floor matting of earthy tones, adding warmth and character to any area in the home.
